Welcome to NewBEMF, the New Brunswick Early Music Festival.

NewBEMF is a unique educational and community music festival, held annually in the stunning seaside resort of St. Andrews, NB, just 60 minutes over the US border from coastal Maine.
NewBEMF, hosted by the St. Andrews Arts Council is also unique in its focus on combining college-level and pre-professional performing opportunities with significant community involvement.

Join us in St Andrews for one week of fun and music-making in a concert performance of Henry Purcell's wonderful masque 'King Arthur'. Housing scholarships for lead roles available.

Please submit via email a link to a digital video or audio recording of a recent performance or rehearsal, CV, Bio and Headshot, including voice type and range. Audition materials must be sent to Matthew Leese at mattleese@gmail.com by Saturday April 4th, 2015.     

St Andrews is a resort town, with many options for housing, from camping and hostels through luxury boutique accommodation and literally everything in between. This website is a great place to start! [Scholarship accommodation available for lead roles].

We recommend approaching St Andrews by private car - the beautiful seaside town is just 60 miles from the US border at Calais, ME. Airports nearby include Saint John and Fredericton NB as well as Bangor, ME.
